ClipForge Studio

Privacy notice

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This notice describes information ClipForge Studio processes to detect media, manage downloads, check membership and free-plan quota, provide checkout, and respond to support requests.

Information stored in your browser

The extension stores its settings, a random installation identifier, activation state, and download task information in the browser's extension storage. Download history is available in the extension and can be cleared from its controls. The extension processes page and media details locally to find available downloads.

Information sent to ClipForge services

  • Membership and quota: the extension sends its random installation identifier to check or refresh a license and to enforce the free-plan allowance. Quota requests also include your time-zone offset, the requested action, and a temporary ticket derived from the detected download row.
  • Checkout: when checkout is opened from the extension, the installation identifier is included so a purchase can be associated with that installation. Choosing a plan sends the selected plan and identifier to create a checkout session.
  • Website operations: the web host may process standard connection details, such as IP address, request time, and browser headers, for security and service operation.

Quota and license requests do not upload the downloaded media file. A quota ticket is used to reserve or release an allowance for a detected download row.

Source websites, payment, and the optional desktop companion

When you use the extension, it may request media from the source website or its media host using your browser session. Those services receive the network requests and handle them under their own terms and privacy notices. The downloaded file is saved through your browser or, if you enable the optional desktop companion, handled by that companion on your device.

Checkout redirects you to a payment provider. The provider processes payment details you enter under its own privacy notice; ClipForge does not ask you to enter card details in the extension.

Support email and your choices

If you email support, we receive the address and message you send. Purchase recovery, cancellation, and refund requests may include the purchase email and order reference that you choose to provide. The extension prepares these emails but does not send them for you.

You can disable the extension on sites through your browser's extension controls, clear local extension data in the browser, or contact support with a privacy question or data request. Records needed to provide or support a purchase may be retained for service, security, or accounting purposes.
